Search and filtering
Finding the perfect game feel effortless
Before this project, players had to scroll through endless lists of games hoping to find something they'd love. Working alongside engineers and product managers, we transformed this experience by creating an intelligent filtering system that makes finding the perfect game feel effortless.
Timeline
From explorations to final designs in 5 weeks while working with multiple projects at the same time
Background
With over 5000 games to explore, casino players often face choice overload. What starts as excitement can quickly turn into frustration as users scroll endlessly, unsure where to start. The result? Less time playing, more time searching.
This project tackled that head-on – making game discovery fast, intuitive, and fun by transforming how players filter and find what they love.
This category details the step-by-step approach taken during the project, including research, planning, design, development, testing, and optimization phases.
1.Research & Planning
Conducted market research to identify scheduling challenges and user preferences. Explored solutions separately for iOS and Android to tailor the best experience for each platform.
2.Design & Prototyping
Created different concepts and interactive prototypes. Iteratively refined designs based on user feedback to enhance usability and visual appeal. Ran approximately 20 user tests through usertesting.com to validate concepts, refine ideas, and gather insights directly from users.
3.Development & Implementation
We worked in two-week sprints, focusing on shipping fast and iterating often. Collaboration was at the core of this project – designers, engineers, and product managers worked closely throughout development, continuously refining and improving as we built. This tight feedback loop allowed us to quickly adapt, ensuring the final solution was polished, intuitive, and aligned with user needs.
4.Testing & Optimization
To ensure the new solution delivered real value, we ran an A/B test comparing it to the previous version. The results spoke for themselves – the new system led to a 10% increase in game launches. This validation allowed us to fine-tune the experience further, reinforcing that the improvements not only enhanced usability but also drove meaningful engagement.
A discovery system that feels natural and helps players spend less time searching and more time playing.
No More Empty Searches
Created filters that adapt in real-time as players make choices. If there's no medieval-themed slots with 25 paylines, that option simply won't show up - keeping players engaged instead of frustrated
It Just Feels Right
Added subtle haptic feedback that makes the app feel more responsive - a gentle buzz when opening filters or applying them gives players that satisfying "yeah, something happened" feeling
Smart Search When You Need It
For categories with tons of options (looking at you, game providers!), a search bar automatically appears to help players quickly find what they're after
Filters That Think Ahead
The system is smart enough to show only filters that make sense together. If a player picks "Adventure Theme", they'll only see providers and features that actually have adventure games
The numbers back it up - game launches from the search tab increased by 10% after launch, and native app users engage with filters 5 times more frequently than web users. Plus, it's built to grow - ready for new features and adaptable across different brands and markets.
A/B test
To ensure the new solution delivered real value, we ran an A/B test comparing it to the previous version. The results spoke for themselves – the new system led to a 10% increase in game launches.
Positive User Feedback
High user satisfaction ratings and positive reviews highlight the app's intuitive interface.
